2-year-old Courtlund Alcide Stuart Barrington-Moss has been located safe and sound by local search volunteers. Thank you to everyone who assisted in locating Courtlund.

BACKGROUND

On July 22, 2019 at 9:00 p.m., Ponteix RCMP Detachment received a report of a missing male toddler, 2-year-old Courtlund Alcide Stuart Barrington-Moss. Investigators were advised the child was last seen while attending a family gathering at the farm immediately north of the village of Aneroid, SK, just north of the Aneroid junction. This property is the first farm on the grid road after the town of Aneroid and is located on the west-side of the grid road. This grid road is one mile east of Highway 609 and does not have a number.

Family members advised RCMP officers they immediately searched the area surrounding the house and yard and all outbuildings on the farm as soon as the child was missing. Investigators from Ponteix and Assiniboia RCMP Detachments joined the search efforts and requested the assistance of the RCMP Police Dog from Swift Current RCMP and additional officers from the Swift Current RCMP Detachment, including an RCMP Remotely Piloted Aircraft utilizing FLIR technology. STARS also assisted with the air search and local Ministry of Environment officers assisted with the ground search.

Ponteix RCMP are asking land owners in the area surrounding the village of Aneroid to search their properties and outbuildings for either the child, the clothes he was wearing or anything that has been moved or seems to be out of place.

The missing child is described as 3 feet tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was wearing navy blue shorts, a blue/grey t-shirt with an orange sasquatch on the front, grey Van’s runners with velcro closures. A photo is attached.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911, the Ponteix RCMP at 306-625-6400 or 310-RCMP.
