Sign won’t affect taxes
Posted on November 13, 2013 by Maple CreekDear Editor,Contrary to the rumor circulating in Maple Creek, taxes will not be going up due to the new digital LED sign across the street from the Round Up.
The sign is owned solely by Ron Schaal of Ron’s Signs and Graphics. I have approximately $28,0000 invested in the sign.
The town did give me permission to install the sign on that particular site. They also contributed to the cost of the base and frame work.
I discussed the sign for several months with the mayor and others. They have been very supportive of this venture and realize the benefits to the community. I would like to give a big thank you to Mayor Rudd, town council and the town administrator for their assistance and support.
