The Maple Creek Union Hospital is demolished by Dakota Reclamators Ltd. of Calgary on Saturday. The building – which opened on June 10, 1963 and closed on May 8, 2014 due to leaks in the roof – could not be taken to the Maple Creek landfill due to the large amount of rubble and is being hauled to Swift Current. Interestingly, the hospital was built by Graham Group Ltd. – the same construction company which has built the Southwest Integrated Healthcare Facility. Photo by Wayne Litke
