Seagulls scatter as this Tompkins area farmer works the land on April 26. With the recent warm, dry weather producers are busy preparing the land and seeding. This spring has been a sharp contrast to last year, with crop specialists reporting good soil moisture in the Southwest thanks to fall rain and warmer than normal temperatures since March.
