Materials for the waterslides have now arrived, Maple Creek Town Council has learned.
Barry Elliott, chief administrative officer, said the materials had been “inventoried” by Paradise Pools.
“The intent is to undertake the assembly of this equipment prior to freeze-up later this fall.”
In his report to Wednesday’s Council meeting, Elliott said the swimming pool ended its season on August 31.
He added that Stephanie Martin, the pool supervisor, and two staff members will work through the early part of September to prepare the pool building for winter.
“As well, Paradise Pools will be in during September to complete the shutdown of the pool itself.”
Elliott went on to report that an RFP (Request for Proposal) for municipal auditor services for the Town of Maple Creek attracted three submissions.
“These submissions are being evaluated over the next week and a recommendation will be prepared for Council at its next regular meeting.”
Elliott added he was in the process of preparing an RFP for municipal banking services. He intended discussing this with Council as soon as possible.
