Maple Creek’s Pickleball Club is back in full swing after its enforced COVID layoff – and keen to add to its growing list of members.
Club members play every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, starting at 7pm or 8pm.
If the weather is good, they play at the pickleball court at Centennial Park. If it is raining, or too hot, they have the option of using the Community Arena, where lines for a pickleball court are expected to be put down soon.
“We welcome new members of all levels of experience,” said Savannah Mass, club president. “We have extra paddles, so don’t worry if you don’t have the right equipment.”
She said the club – registered with Pickleball Saskatchewan and Pickleball Canada – has about 15 members.
Anyone wishing to join, can contact Mass on 403-580-7582. She can also be found during work hours at the Visitor Centre, 114 Jasper Street.
Prospective members can also simply show up at the court and give the game a go.
“Come out and have a laugh,” said Mass.”We have a lot of fun.”
