Posted on November 18, 2013 by Maple CreekBRAITHWAITE – Patricia Lynn Ann (Horton) Braithwaite ~ May 4, 1973 – Oct. 30, 2013Patty was born in Regina May 4, 1973, adopted by the Horton family August 1973, she passed away accidentally on Oct. 30, 2013.
She is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, James and children Brett, Kayleigh and Tyden; her mother Frankie; brothers Aaron (Lori), Garth (Renee); mother-in-law Betty and father-in-law Leslie, nieces and nephews. Her bioligical family, mother Linda; sisters Dawn (Darcy and family); Gayla (Becky); father Rollie (Mary Ellen); brother-in-law Robert (Chrissy and family).
She is predeceased by her father Garry and grandparents.
Patty was a very loving, caring mother and friend. She was happiest when she had a houseful of friends and family.
Patty attended school in Maple Creek and Fox Valley. She did rodeoing for a few years, barrel racing and team roping. She worked and operated Hill Country Clothing in Maple Creek with her mother for a few years, moved onto Saskatoon working various jobs and met the love of her life there.
She married James on June 28, 2003. They lived in Harris for a time and Patty worked at Dairy Queen in Rosetown until Tyden was born. In October 2004, they moved back to Maple Creek and once again worked with her mother at Hill Country Clothing and delighted in grooming you girls for rodeo queen.
Patty and her sister-in-law operated their own cookie dough business for a time, but waitressing called her back. She worked at The Star Cafe, The Rockin’ Horse, Redmond House and the Commercial Hotel. She always gave everyone top-rate service no matter how busy things got. She made everyone feel like they were special.
Patty was one of Tyden’s biggest hockey fans. She loved travelling to broomball with James and to Roughrider games.
Patty will be sadly missed by all her many close friends and especially her loving husband, children and family.
A service was held on Tues., Nov. 5 with the spreading of ashes to take place at a later date.
