Posted on May 21, 2014 by Maple CreekFISHER – Catherine Olive ~ 1922-2014With sadness, the family of Catherine Fisher announces her passing on May 14, 2014. Our mother passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital.
Catherine was born on December 6, 1922 to Anna and Onisko Chermishnuk. periods of time away, as well as the last four years of life, her home has always been in Maple Creek.
Paul Arnold Fisher, Catherine’s husband of 55 years, predeceased her in 1999.
Mother is survived by her daughter Vicci (George) Vass of Prince Albert and son Drue (Patricia) Fisher of Sundre, Alberta, as well as four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A funeral service is to be held in The Salvation Army Chapel in Maple Creek on Sat., May 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Captain Charlotte Dean officiating. Following the service, interment will take place at the Maple Creek cemetery, and lunch will be served at The Salvation Army Hall.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
