Gernack, Deloris Sandra

GERNACK – Deloris Sandra Gernack passed away with her loving family by her side on March 3, 2015 at the age of 70 years old. She succumbed to her battle with cancer to pass away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.
The beloved mother of Mark Armstrong (Kim), Tammy (Bill Mcdonald) and Jason Armstrong (Brenda). She also leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren Zainabb (Chris), Adam, Darrion, Dustin and Josh; her great grandchildren Aliya and Reece. Deloris is survived by three sisters Linda (Bob) Maines, Shannon (Kent) Montgomery of Red Deer, Alta. and Cathy (Bruce) Flatcher of San Leandro, CA.
Deloris was predeceased by her husband Ken Mitchel; baby daughter Candice Armstrong, her parents Fenwick Gernack and Doris (Pete Norris); her brother Kim Gernack.
Deloris was born in Maple Creek on April 1, 1944. She spent the majority of her adult life in Red Deer, Alta., where she raised her three children. Her belief in God provided her with the inner strength and courage she needed in order to face the many obstacles during her illness. She will always be remembered for her strong religious beliefs and her love of family.
A memorial was held at the Salvation Army in Red Deer, Alta. on March 14, 2015.
