TERNES – Anna, beloved wife of the late Eugene Ternes, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the age of 81.
Anna leaves to cherish her memory two sons and their families. Donald (Lorelei) Ternes of Redcliff, Alta., grandchildren Daniel and Sahril, granddaughter Dawn Ternes and great grandchildren Kiara and Zoe; Ronald (Annette) Ternes of Fox Valley, Sask., grandchildren Kerry (Tamarah) and Shannon.
She was predeceased by her husband Eugene, parents Adolph and Maria Angerman, brother Arthur and sister Lewarna Bonogofski.
Anna was born on May 27, 1933 at Mendham, Sask. She married the love of her life, Eugene Ternes of Fox Valley on Oct. 14, 1959. Together they took over the family farm until 1986 when they decided to semi-retire to Maple Creek.
After the death of Eugene, Anna in Jan. 2014 moved to Valley View Care Home in Medicine Hat, Alberta, where she resided till her passing.
Anna loved visiting with her family and playing cards with her friends. She was an avid cook, baker, gardener and fisher woman.
She was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew her and shared in her life.
The funeral service was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fox Valley on Tues., Mar. 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. with father Hoang Nguyen officiating. Prayers were held Mon., Mar. 15 at 7:30 p.m. Interment took place at the Fox Valley Cemetery. Urn bearers were Kerry Ternes and Daniel Ternes.
