Planting Flowers

Posted on May 28, 2014 by Maple Creek

Breanna O’Toole and Tinia Mosquito plant petunias in the flower barrels that will be placed outside businesses in the downtown.

The Grade 8 home economics class volunteered to get the 30 barrels ready for the summer and got their hands dirty at Kelli Dee Floral on May 28. The barrels were planted with petunias, scaevola, potato vine and geraniums – Maple Creek’s flower of the year. Hanging baskets of petunias are also ready to be hung in the Heritage District.
