Severe Storm Near Gull Lake

Grain bins are left mangled in the wake of a severe storm that ripped through Earview Colony on May 28.

Environment Canada reported plow winds in the area. The storm lasted only about 20 minutes, but also tore tiles off the colony’s school roof and destroyed two storage buildings. Much of the Southwest was under a tornado watch throughout the day, and the storm system dropped toonie-sized hail around Shaunavon and Dollard.
