Accident Downtown

It was an unusual scene downtown when RCMP blocked off First Avenue between Jasper and Maple streets after a driver suffered medical distress on Oct. 9. The incident happened at 4:40 p.m. and resulted in a collision between the car driven by a woman in her 60s and a parked school bus. The woman was having difficulty breathing, but the closest ambulance at the time was in Fox Valley. Out of immediate concern in the situation, RCMP transported the woman to hospital.
