Buses are still coming in and out of Maple Creek, but the local agency is temporarily closed.

As of April 10, the Maple Creek depot is closed, according to a Greyhound press release.

Passenger pickup and drop off is still running at the same address, 26 Pacific Ave.

If you are looking to take the bus out of town, you are asked to purchase your ticket online at http://www.greyhound.ca.

Freight customers are asked to contact the Swift Current Greyhound at 306-773-8555 to arrange for shipments to be picked up. You will need to give them your business name, address and phone number when you contact them.

The courier company is only in town once a day, so regular drop off times for customers may change temporarily. Swift Current Greyhound will advise you on what time they’ll be in Maple Creek.

The closure will continue until Greyhound is able to move into a new location in town.

Greyhound hopes to have a new location opened by April 25.

Kim Todd, agency manager for southwest Saskatchewan, southern Alberta, and southeast British Columbia, could not be reached for comment.
