Marilyn attended school in Consul, and from there went to Regina and worked at the Regina General Hospital as a nurses aid. She then moved back to Consul where she raised her family on the farm. Michelle was born December 1970 and Kim in January, 1973. Marilyn moved to Maple Creek in 1991, where she stayed until her passing.
Marilyn will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her two chilren Michelle (Tim) and Kim (Casey); her grandchildren Jarrod, Logan, Connor, Brandon and Morgan. She also leaves one sister Vicki, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Marilyn was predeceased by her parents George and Thelma; her two brothers Ralph and Bruce; her sister Ellen and her grandson Dolton.
The funeral service was held at Maple Creek Salvation Army in Maple Creek, Sask. on Sat., Apr. 12, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Capt. Ed Dean officiating. Interment took place at the Maple Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Greg Wenzel, Dwaine Palmer, Tyrel Matechuk, Brandon Reynolds, Travis Seifert, Jarrod Hanson, Palmer Wenzel, Terrance Matechuk, Morgan Reznechenko. Honorary pallbearers were all those who shared in Marilyn’s life.
